Naming The Notes In Major Scales

  1. The naming of the notes in a major scale follows the alphabet from A – G
  2. A-G is our musical alphabet
  3. Major scales have a total of 8 notes
  4. When a scale reaches the end of the musical alphabet (G), it returns to the beginning (A) and continues until there are a total of 8 notes.
    • Example: C major scale: C D E F G (back to the beginning of the alphabet) A B C
