Lesson 7 Scale Review

PAGE Progress:

How are we going to make scales even easier? I am sure it comes as no surprise to you that the answer is: correct repetition. Trust me, at some point in the future you will be playing a scale and realize afterwards that you were thinking about something else while playing. Not that day dreaming is a good idea while practicing, but it does show that your scales are becoming easier.

All these scales are important and they should be reviewed as much as possible (even after you know them). For this week, let’s play the Bb major scale.

B♭ Major Scale

This is a chance to see if you can play one of our scales without error. If you can play the scale below with ease, then play the scale 5 times a day to solidify your abilities. If the scale does not feel 100% comfortable (even if you played it perfectly), then play 5-10 times with a metronome. Do this review everyday. By the end of the week, you should be able to play this scale comfortably, evenly, and with confidence. Speed is not important right now.
