Recording Options
The videos below provide two different options for making a recording. There are additional methods possible to record, which you’re free to use. The only requirements we request is that it is made in a common format and that it is uploaded to your teacher. Some other free recording software include Audacity and QuickTime.
Desktops & Laptops
If you’re using a desktop or laptop, you may need to use an external microphone. There’s no need for an expensive microphone, just make sure it can plug directly into the microphone jack on your computer.
Portable Devices
You can also use the microphone on your portable device. For Android devices there may be a voice recorder pre-installed. For Apple products you may need to download an app. If you use a portable device, follow these steps:
Method 1
- Record onto your device
- On your portable device, go to the assignment page in the lesson
- Select upload
- You’ll have the option to select the file through your recording app or in your device files
- Select your audio file and upload
Method 2
- Record onto your device
- Share via email to your own email account
- Download to your computer
- Upload to assignment page
